so i just got all the tar from the floor out of my nx...filled up a whole shopping bag full of ****weight at least 20 lbs(all the tar was also removed from the back of my nx too-another 20lbs)...amd almost turned my car into a flinstone mobile....(explain below)

passenger side floor...camoff easily..and i didnt use dry ice.

accedintally chisled off a stupid plug in the floor...oops..its back on and seal good now...and this side was all modly...groos.

then whatdya know, here i pulled off the tar, and found A HOLE IN THE FLOOR!!!! damn ..this nx is turning almost the FLINTDSTONE mobile..yabba-dabba-doooooo!!

im going to wirebrush the whole floor and seal it with some good truck bed coating

but i have no more ac stuff onder the hood....what else can i get rid of under th dash?

Smashed out my NX windshield today, with glass rubber and trim weight comes to 24lbs.

I really thought it'd be more than that. What do you plan on replacing it with?

Yeah so did I, I figured like 30-40lbs for sure. I picked up a universal windshield (uncut) Lexan sheet that Clear One makes from Summit Racing.

The glass has been cracked for years it needed replaced anyway and the Lexan was less than half the price of new glass. The weight is up high too and that makes the most difference handling wise.

I will post up a final weight when I get done cutting the Lexan

1/8 in Lexan ended up weighing 8lbs, and the hardware is about another 1lb.

Someone please update the first post with this. It's organized

Sounddeadening material including tar and the rubber firewall blanket and steel brace under steering wheel 52lbs
Interior Sound Deadening material (50 pounds)
All the sound deadening plus the steel bracket under the steering wheel, and the rubber firewall carpet weigh 48.2lbs
A/C ~48lbs (compressor weighs like 25, condensor 10, exchanger 5, bracket like 3 or 4 and the associtaed lines another 5 or so)
Air Conditioning (40 pounds)
Sunroof (40 pounds)
Front Seats (35 pounds each - replaced with CF one @ 10 pounds)
Front seats weigh 33 pounds each.
A/C compressor including iron bracket and all lines and condenser 32lbs
Replaced Stock Hood with C/F (30 pounds)
All the heat and a/c parts in the dash weigh 28 pounds.
Bumpers weigh 25 pounds each.
Door Panels (20 pounds)
Aftermarket (thicker) Front Sway bar (18 pounds)
B13 SE-R wheels = 16.7 lbs!!
Spare tire well weighs 14.5 pounds.
trunk hinges, 4 tow hooks, and muffler hinges and that came up to 13lbs
Rear Valence/Shelf and Trunk hinges (12 pounds)
Bumper covers weigh 11.5 pounds each.
Back seat weighs 10.5 pounds.
Rear Bench Seat (10 pounds)
Door Beams (10 pounds each)
All Seat Belts (10 pounds)
Carpet weighs 9 pounds.
dash = 9lbs
Power Steering (8 pounds)
Front gutted bumper (8 pounds) -still functional BTW!
Rear gutted bumper (7 pounds) -still functional BTW!
Unused Wires from Harness (7 poounds)
The support rods for the trunk weigh 6 pounds.
Brace under dash = 5lbs
Rear quarter windows 4.9 lbs
side electric mirrors 4.5 lbs
side manual mirrors 4.2 lbs
Underside for Trunk Skin (4 pounds)
Front Windows and Guides (4 pounds)
Inner Door Skins - the metal (4 pounds)
reclining mechanism on SE-R seats 3lbs
The side power mirrors weigh 2.5lbs
Non-powered side mirrors weigh 2.3lbs
plastic side molding 2 lbs

The block of cast metal that is located on the subframe near the center of the steering rack weighs 3lbs. It's held in by two 12 mm bolts . It's to cut down vibration . It was on my b13 but was already removed on my old b14. B15's have it also .

this is good to know...im tearing out ALOT of stuff in this nx. and then its all getting truck bed coated,as well as the bottom and rear wheel wells....maybe like half way done taking out ALL the rubber shit

There is a chunk of metal on the gas pedal and another on the shifter on a bolt end that are for dampening and can go too.

Got some new mirrors today

-NX2000 power mirrors x2=5lbs 3oz

-generic ABS plastic bike mirrors x2=12oz
