Please do canx2k. You've got me curious.
This elusive beast I have never seen (other than in diagrams now lol).

You're so funny Jay lol. Picky-picky. I was about to mention that you could use a paperclip or part of a clothes hanger for the fogs but then I remembered who I was talking to lol and knew better
BTW, will be getting a message from that dude tmrw regarding those.
Funny thing is, is I have been thinking on how the hell I'd package up 1 of those lol *scratches head*
Would hate to just throw it in an envelope.

So just so I'm clear - the knobs that the loops attach to on the hatch are busted mostly, or the clip the shelf pivots on?

What would you rather - a solid peice that is sort of permanent (one piece surrounding the pivot, which you would have to lift the shelf all the way up and unscrew from the parcel shelf then the strut tower bit) or something that is lever over top so that it is removable easily, or something that it simply rests in 3/4 way and the only way you could remove it is by pivoting the shelf far enough in one direction (clearly on purpose) and lift out? Obviously the first and third are most cost effective, as there are less moving parts. Does someone have a photo of what buddy did in the past and can speak to its effectiveness?

Why are these always busted? This question is important too so when I design the alternative I can playtest it against such things.

This is awesome! Thanks can2k!
In for pics when it happens.
What material will you be making them out of?
And are you just going to do the parcel shelfs pivot piece or are you planning on doing the piece that is also on the strut tower shelf as well?
Regarding your previous post #15- 2nd or 3rd option imo.

Also, do you have a guesstimate price-wise yet?

Part number for nx
No price at all. That's a long time away. I will see tolerances and then figure out how I'm going to do it, but likely all parts related to the nx shelf will be rendered. What I really need to think about is creative ways to make the nub hatch thing. Some sort of cover for a drywall hinge may suit, akin to this:

But with a cover overtop so it looks oem. I want these to be unnoticeable.
