Maybe I don't understand your answer - So I've got the xovers (2 inputs total/4 speaker wires) put into the bridged sections on the qx4150 amp. There is a front and a rear rca input on the amp. I have a single set (2 connectors) of rcas going to the amp, one left one right. The bridged section spans both front and back labelled speaker outputs. Where do I put the L and R rcas into, or are you suggesting Y adaptors and use both the front and rear rca inputs on the amp? The manual isn't clear about using the bridge outputs with 2 "speakers" sadly.

Gotcha, what head unit do you have? Hopefully you have 3 sets of rcas on the back of it.

Sure do, one sub, one set front, one set rear. But damn, 3 lines of rca jacks? yuck. I got another set in the parts bin...did you have a look at the manual? Do I need another set run?

Yeah, you need 3 sets of rcas. One for each.1 set for front crossovers. 1 set for rear speakers and 1 set for sub.

The rear speakers are being powered by the HU, the front mid/tweets into the xover and over to the 4150 setup on the bridge position.

You only need one set of RCAs. I would try them in the front, most of the time that is what is used during bridging, but it also may not matter. Try each and see what works.

As far as the subs, put some sound deadening material under the subs, this will help with the magnets and make for better sound.

If I am putting an amp under a seat I always cut the carpet out to let it sit as low as possible, the more air the flows over the top the happier your amp will be.

You mids and tweets are 4 ohms each, when run into a crossover they are seen as a total of 4 ohm load to the amp. The cross over is dividing the signal into 2 parts, a low pass filter for the mids, and a high pass filter for the tweets. I always say the more power you can give them the better, as long as it is clean power.

I thought if you bridged the wires you'd need 1 set of rcas per bridge. Meaning, he's need 2 sets of rcas.

When you bridge a 4 channel amp, you are basically turning it into a 2 channel amp. It will only need one set of RCAs to provide signal.

Cool, didn't know that. Thanks!

Noted, thanks so far guys.

I have a question now about the subs - a member has a 8 ohm sub for sale, 200w rms. My amp does 380w continuous x 1 at 4ohms bridged across the two speaker connection points. If a subwoofer is 8 ohms, will I see an issue if I bridge it and turn the output down to the recommended 200w rms that the subwoofer is labelled to handle?
