Ok so the above link is to run just the ecu harness. That diagram is basically showing how to power the ecu and the rest of the needed things with out having to run the body harness that is ridiculously large and heavy. I want to simplify the wiring in the car so there isn't much that can go wrong in a event of a mishaps. Two relays and a few fuses all located in a central location next to the ecu in the car.

To know what wires can be removed from the stock harnesses, you'll have to get a FSM and the wiring diagrams and go through each harness wire by wire looking it up as you go so you'll know of you'll need it or not.

Cant just start removing wires if you dont know what they do.

Does anyone actually know what I want to do here? The body harness supply's power and ground to the ecu harness.... I want to eliminate the heavy body harness and make my own power and ground relay setup with fuses to supply the correct wires power ground ect.

I did what you are describing to an extent. You will need to get a FSM and remove all of the wires you no longer want to use, then create your own fuse box. The connector/s that go to the car side is where the input power comes from, usually orange or white. Whats stopping you from removing all of the wires you dont need? Strip down the harness to power and what goes to the cluster. No need to buy another harness, just strip the one you have.
