50.7x remote start help
So I have been battling this remote start for the last two days. The alarm works as it should. It keeps giving me the 7 flashes error, "Manual Mode error". Everything I could find online says to check the clutch bypass, ebrake neutral wire and all seems fine. The car doesn't try to crank, and I moved the tach wire a few times, and now it is set to pin 2 on the ecu (tach signal). The alarm doesn't learn the tach signal whenever I try to make it. I am kinda lost. Thanks, I have to finish car before monday or I will have to zip tie the wiring and drive the car as is.

What kind of car? Is it manual tranny?
I have a shop and have done these for 25 years, maybe I can help. What remote start, specifically ,are you using?(brand/model number)

Just thought about it for a minute, what is the procedure for remote start if it is a manual tranny? A lot of them,if not all, have a complex procedure of setting the e-brake,putting it in neutral, stepping on the clutch, then shutting the doors. As soon as it sees the door open,it kills the remote start process to avoid the possibility of someone having put the car in gear.Safety stuff, basically.Check the procedure for that. Also see if it will learn the tach in hybrid or virtual mode. You should be able to pick up the tach right at the distributor or use a fuel injector wire.

93 se-r, manual.

Clifford 50.7x. I went through the manual procedure, and it gives me the 7 light error, as stated above. I think I just want to set the remote start to automatic mode and bypass all this stuff. I don't ever leave the car in gear, and I am the only one who drives it. I am gonna check the wire at the ecu to make sure it has a good connection to the wire tap.
