Best speakers for the front doors of a B14?
I took apart my door panel today, to find that Nissan decided it'd be a fun idea to make the speakers screw in with only 3 screws, instead of the typical 2 or 4 for most speakers. I was going to see if my 6 inch Alpines would fit, but that failed miserably so I put those on the rear deck. My question to you guys is - what speakers do you have in the front of your B14?

And one other question. I have the factory alarm still setup and working in my car, but I don't have a remote for it. I have one spare Viper remote that I was wondering if it could be synced with the factory alarm?

Not too sure, but you can try this process: Programming Alarm Remote

i fitted 6inch components in my b14 fronts. Don't recall any issues with installing them.

My rear 6x9's touch the glass due to the spacer on them.

I tried it and my remote wouldn't program. It went into the mode and everything. I guess it wont take Viper remotes. Unless this one is already programmed to another vehicle.

Weird. My front doors have 5 1/4" fronts with a only 3 screw holes and my 6" speakers couldn't screw in. Only one screw would go in. So i just put them in the rear.

You can very easily drill new holes for any aftermarket speaker you want. Just put it in the opening and mark where you need to drill, and make sure the bit is smaller than the screws you are going to use. I have done this numerous times with no issues at all.

As long as the speaker is not too deep causing the window to hit it when rolled down you should be fine.

I know i can definitely do that, i was just trying to avoid it. I dont have very many drill bits and really dont have the cash to be tossing at tools for one thing.

I might get another set of Alpine 6"s and just drill new holes. But if I can find the correct fit with the correct hole pattern, I'll be happy.
