Eclipse is discontinued entirely. Getting your hands on one is hard enough nowadays. Fujitsu TEN went back to Toyota OEM exclusivity.

Ok audio geeks, need some setup information.

I've been driving the car the way Doug set it up since April and it sounds great. However, the dome light was left on last weekend and since I wasn't able to drive it until today the battery was dead. Battery was under warranty, so popped a new one in and it fired right up.

Herein lies my dilemma. The radio defaulted to all the factory settings. I was able to change from "4 speakers + sub" mode to "3 way". I need help on the proper crossover settings. I need to set sub roll off, mid bass (rear) roll in and roll off, mid/tweet (front) roll in. I need to set both Hz and dB/octave slopes for all of these. Here is what I set for now:

Sub 80 Hz 24dB/Oct
midbass LP 80 Hz 18dB/Oct
midbass HP 400 Hz 18 dB/Oct
High 315 Hz 18 dB/Oct

Should I be using the same frequency points at sub to midbass and midbass to midrange/tweeters crossovers, or should I be overlapping them?

Can you remind me what speakers you are using and what size? Are you using an all active crossover system or are you using the passive crossover's?

Are you SURE you are crossing your tweeter's at 315hz or was that 3150KHZ?

I am a complete audio nerd both home and car so I can offer insight but can't remember what youa re using. I suppose I could read the first page too... Be right back...

I would run the sub from 80 down.

I would run the mid-bass from 80 up to 200 but try to match the slope for the sub at 24DB per octave.

I would run the focal 4" from 200 up.

You could try the 315 setup also to see what sounds best to you but the MAIN logic is to relieve the 4" from reproducing mid-bass and going by ear will be the best thing to do. Your settings look a little high to me for the HP on the midbass. I would keep that thing at 300HZ or below as those 4" can play very well down to 200 and the 6" getting up that high will take away from things IMHO.

Let your ears be the judge and let us know!
