It matters. Auto speedo won't fit the manual gearbox.

As long as you get one with the thin body, for a manual SR20DE, you'll be fine.

Some interesting facts I came across today! The spedometer pinion gear from the cable driven b13/n14 cluster will not fit!

That's weird, it looks different from my cable driven B13 (NX) speedometer gear...

Update - Finally got my gear and got the sensor installed!

It's only off a couple mph, but I think pretty much all clusters show like 3-5% over or something...? Don't remember where I heard that... What was interesting to me though is that the difference is in the cluster itself, the speed calibration on the scangauge in that picture is set to 0 so that's exactly what the ECU is seeing, which is right on with what the GPS reads. Part number for the gear is 32743-60Y16 and the snap ring 32744-35F00, they both work with the rockauto sensor if you go that route.

I need some help. I have a 94 4 door sentra and since it doesnt come with tach im stuck.

I wired up everything and it worked. Except the tach. I wired it up to the Ecu and still nothing.

Would it be that I bought a bad digital cluster? or that my Ecu doesnt give out the tach signal?

This is on a Sr20de swapped 94 sentra limited edition.

The ECU gets the signal from the cluster. NOT the other way around!

I've seen people taking the RPM signal from the spark-generator-thingymajig, the thing that sends power to the dizzy, forgot the name. They do it with Sunny's over here as well, at least the few that didn't come with a tach.

@ nrlulz: Good to see that everything's working!

I know that is the case for the speed signal (sensor->cluster->ecu) but I thought tach signal came from the ecu? Unless I am misunderstanding the FSM..

(from 99 sentra fsm)

But yeah I think some people have run a wire to a certain wire on the distributor..not sure which, or if it's even the distributor lol, but my car came with a tach so I don't really have any experience to share there..

Eh, you're right about the signal, I was indeed confused with the speed signal :P
