Gauges from a b12 sentra issue
I'll try to explain what's up, you can tell me what you think the issue is.
1) Engine coolant and fuel gauges dont work
2) They are apart of the same unit but independant of each other
3) They are powered by a resistor that has three leads - a 12V, a ground, and a 8v.
4) the 8v powers the gauges
5) when the gauges are not connected, the voltage reads 8V.
6) when one gauge, the other, or both are connected, the voltage reads .24V.
7) Neither gauge works at all
8) both senders work fine
Is the problem the resistor that powers the gauges, or the gauges themselves, and can you think of a way to measure to make sure?
