Key in ACC position = no power? Weird Issue...
Background info: I haven't started the car in a while. My redtop optima is fresh as of Thursday. There WAS an alarm installed in the car, but i pulled it out when i lost the remote. Taped up the exposed wires.
The Issue: I put my key in the ignition. Chime turns on. I turn it to the ACC position. ALL power in the car shuts off. Lights go out, everything. I take the key out, have to wait about a 1/2 hour or so, then power comes back again mysteriously. But the issue returns again when I turn the key to ACC.
Where I am so far: I've checked both all fuses that have to do with ACC, and the ACC relay itself. I'm far from an electrical guru, but the fuses are all good. The relays SEEM to be in working order. Anyone have any other ideas what the problem may be?
