Purchasing a GTiR
I'm looking to try and purchase/ship a GTiR, looking for advise on how, who to use, and associated cost and/or red tape.

Please advise

Prices have spiked a bit, in my opinion, since the 90 model years are eligible to be brought over legally as they are 25+ years old now. I think you would just have to check with your state Secretary of State in order to find out what the regulations are and what the titling requirements are.

I looked into it, but can't justify the cost + towing + titling + insurance when I could just buy a WRX wagon, and be ALMOST as happy, but have access to more replacement parts a lot easier. Plus the WRX's are a bit newer too.

Anyone else know anything else about it?

i can get you half a one from nj if you would like, you would just need to find the rear end.

Go across the border and get a tsuru

Theres a rhd converted b13 4 door on craigslist in cali

You are probably looking at close to 10k if not more to get it over here and to me that isnt worth it when the older skylines are around that same price range. google is your friend lots of importers out there just do your due diligence on their reputation and reviews before ever sending money

The one here in So-Cal looks more like a JDM Import of a GA AWD from the ad on cragislist.

Not worth the $7,500 asking price IMHO.

Price: USD*5,277
FOB*Price:USD*5,777

FOB is shipping, so I believe you add those together. Email them to make sure.

Correct. Freight charges. The cars can be had at a price I would be willing to pay. The shipping is the killer. I think GTI-R's are exceptionally dope. but not 11.5K dope.

Now a Primera T4 (isn't that the AWD model??) would be AMAZING. And probably loads cheaper since they are not as desirable as the GTI=R and Skylines. Especially with the 25 year mark coming up on some nice/popular models.
