Yes, because you have to get rid of the stabalizer bar that goes with the factory shifter, using the long shifter with poly mount would probably knock the trans out of gear when the engine/trans move back and forth.

Great to see an all out GTI-R, thanks for posting. Any plans on running at PBIR for Import Face Off on 4/29? Or whats the first event. Would love to see it in action!
