Make one. Just get a PVC cap and a silicone coupler and drill a hole in the top of the cap and insert a tire air thing.

I have a fancy one here that I got from one of the forum members. I'll take a picture and upload it, but you can do the same out of PVC pretty much.

That pressure tester is swoopy! I would like to get something like that, although I'd like to continue to use my valve for the air compressor.

You probably didn't feel it becuase there was very little (if any) air escaping. From above:

A standard tire fitting fits right on it.

I was confused about this myself. I reread the thing like 3 times. I am convinced that there is a typo there and they meant pressure and not vacuum? Or else they were talking about the other side of the VC where the air comes in? But I know it only goes out.. try blowing through each end of the valve.. it only works one way. For a reason.

I do that and my car runs just great. Just make sure the hose is plugged lol.

Haha good point, if any at idle!


I would avoid running open breathers, A. your released ECU metered air, B. it has fuel gases that could be reburned for better MPG's, and C. polluting the planet (which we don't really care about haha)

A) SAFC Anyways, it's not much. Like you said, your car runs basically normal even when it's open as long as you have your finger over the hose.

B) Blow by gas is no longer combustible and if it is the reaction is different (it unburned fuel breaks down due to heat).

C) Yea, you got me there But I have no cat anyway.. whoops!

Really though I only have it that way because I'm using PCV inlet to manifold for idle air. Otherwise it'd be connected.

Hmm interesting, so the gas is pretty much useless when it leaves the PCV hose eh?

What if I run the PCV hose to the other end of the engine?

Ok, I might be missing something stupid when I post this, so if anyone can think of anything wrong with it, please tell me!!! (Other than pollution!!)

What if you plugged both the intake hoses and let the VC vent on both sides, but kept the canister line? No pressure leaks or loss of metered air, and you still vent PCV.

At first I was thinking about doing this:



But then when you mentioned the whole PCV air not being burnable then your picture makes sense too
