Crashtest; 2015 B13 vs 2016 E12
Everyone's probably seen this already, been on the front page of reddit.

What are your thoughts? Do you guys think the mexican B13 was cheaper/less structurally safe than the japanese steel B13? The curb weight is 200 pounds less, so they must have cut some corners?

Would be interesting to see a -91 US B13 vs the -15 Mexican B13

B13 USDM car is different, vastly different than the new Tsuru.

I think the car industry wants rid of the Tsuru because that car is so cheap, everyone in Mexico wants to purcahse them. They just so happen to run forever, win win for the consumer up until now.

Also, have to remember that this is an offset frontal collision. Basically any car produced before 2013 will fail this test, even worse the older the generation of car. Current cars have ALOT of High Strength Steel in and around the cabin. HSS didn't get used widely until the late 2000's.

Yeah I'd say the USDM car would perform better than the Tsuru.
