Steering Wheel Weight
Anyone ever had a problem with the weight/counterweight in the steering wheel? Mine apparently fell off and has been rolling around, rattling, and honking my horn randomly. I'm going to take it out to stop this but wondering if there are any ill effects to this. I'm sure they put it there for a reason. (This is on a B14)

Re: Steering Wheel Weight
Not sure , how heavy is it ? Sure run without it and if it starts pulling wildly to one side it prob needed.

Not to be one of those but this has been covered numerous times lol
With that being said...
I removed it from mine.. It fell out and was causing the horn to stick and just clunking around in there lol

My maxima had that issue. I used duct tape and cardboard to hold it in place.

Please throw it away.Far away. It's sort of a counterweight to keep the steering wheel from flopping around during "dangerous" or entertaining maneuvers I think.Unless you're retarded, which I'm assuming you're not,it's not needed. When I replaced my B14 wheel with a Momo wheel,it was a difference of about 11lbs,3 or 4 of which was Nissans "paperweight" inside the wheel.Useless.
