This is my first bad experience with ACT....if i had been getting on it or something i really wouldn`t care....i was just driving....happened at like 3000 rpm and almost no throtttle....i hear way too much good stuff about the FX series of clutches....i`m gonna put one in when put my backup engine in shortly

ACT's apparent lack of quality is sad but true. I've had 2 discs do exactly what you show up there, even with all the correct alignment pins in there. Sadly ACT told me on both occasions that I'm likely using their discs for the incorrect application and left it at that. Truth is, there's some kind of issue with their discs.

I wouldn't be surprised if we see this happen again to someone else in the near future.

Yeah my ACT6 puck is still good! knock on wood.. ive been really scared of it going out right when im saving for a project

Yep I told him, prob an Act clutch, popped the trans off an sure enough it was!

Almost every time I've seen this happen its been with an Act disc.

the input shaft splines were fine thankfully.
