That’s a fair question. And any set in stone production schedule or estimated lead time date that I would or could give you at this point would be total speculation on my behalf.
That said, understanding that these springs are, 1.) a custom order, and 2.) a custom built low quantity spring order built by the Motorsports spring industry leader …. the specifically chosen for your special order project, high quality spring wire, is in very high industry demand. Just as it always is with a high quality spring project like this.
It could be the case that the high quality spring wire needed is already in-house at Hyperco, or possibly on order. Without personally being on the manufacturing floor myself, talking with the production engineer …. I simply do not know. Material Availability, Tooling, Coiler Availability, and Set-Up among other things, are variables that are always out of my control in situations like this.
All I can offer at this point is the standard answer from the past successful group buys.
PLEASE UNDERSTAND... as with anything custom, this is going to require a little patience on your part. We can’t guarantee lead-time, but it will probably be 8 to 12 weeks once Hyperco receives our order. So the quicker the payments come in, the sooner we can get the order to Hyperco, and the sooner they get in your hands.
Knowing the window of opportunity given if we “Close” this group buy in July, it is quite possible to have the above standard answer time frame shortened up a bit. That being, possibly 8 to 10 weeks production time. But that is no guarantee.
Once I submit total prepaid funds to Hyperco, I typically receive a tentative production schedule a few days later. I will gladly post the lead time date when I receive it.
