Assuming you adjusted the cable ? What was the main issue with the clutch before this set up

before this set up, i had a b15 clutch with a valeo pressure plate from greg and a factory flywheel and the clutch didnt hold up. it held up for about 4 months or so and the clutch springs popped out.

the cable when all the way adjusted is still MASSIVELY loose! there is something wrong with parts everything is installed properly. i have taken the tranny up and down about 4 or 5 times now.

sucks to be you, but something is up there. I have never blown up an ACT 6 puck yellow spring disc. Hmmm.

And I've never blown a B14 trans. It's all about driving style. I drove with an exedy disc for a year no problem. Then to be safe got a Clutchnet disc with enclosed springs.

It's all about driving style, I never lunched above 3-4k rpm (required that high for light flywheel), never downshifted without rev matching, never floored it left it in the same gear, etc. etc. .

Realy strange could be the cable is stretched but highly doubt it as you didnt have the problem before ? And Im sure you dont have the disc in bacwards as it would'nt even be able to engage the clutch at all let alone mount the presure plate . Could be bent clutch cable bracket (not likley) . Do you have the disc # off hand ? Like I said I have a jwt 8.8 flywheel (obd1) and jwt stage 2 presure plate with act 6 puck disc as I cooked my jwt disc and my freind gave me this act disc witch was brand new .

You guy make me more nervous every time I hear horror stories of ACT discs !

Yeah, I have never killed a trans or a clutch, but I have put down 12 second runs on my old T3 setup at the track. Basically, I am not super easy on them at all, I am a spirited driver to say the least. I think it is about maintenance, proper tolerances and not reusing worn parts that really makes the difference.
