I live in NC and had to have my Se-r shipped in from TN. Couldn't find one here. plenty of four doors and XEs though.

My rustless B13 came from NC via TX (and then sat at another MN racing guy's place for a couple of years before I picked it up).

Whoa, cool site. Much easier than trying to search craigslist w/ teh big G. Few private sellers use Autotrader and less Cars.
I can handle a distance that's a single day, so the southern midwest offers some possibilities. Anything further, and these days shipping makes much more sense. With a 6 month old at home, it's tough to jet for a long weekend just to pick up a clean 'transportation special'. Time > than money.
To a point, i passed on a MINT 98 318ti just outside Milwaukee recently.
Guess in a way this opens e-bay for teh steals.

Plus, the lust to acquire has passed. The roads are getting regularly salt free so i can start commuting in the MR2 to save on gas. If it looks like 'biblical' rain we can eat a day of bimmer gulpage.
I can shop with more focus too. 4 door, a color i like, condition AND price. I've got till september, maybe october. Maintain some flexibility by keeping the e30 in the mix. *smirk*

That site is awesome. I'm with you on the time>money thing. I have very little of both these days but my main commodity is time. I also like to wait for the right color, mods, miles, etc even if it takes some time.
