This or what will said, JB weld done the right way works wonders. I also do not think that you can blame the hole in the timing cover on your sister, what did she do, hit it repeatedly with a hammer? I haven't seen the hole but are you sure you chain isn't loose and hit or rubbed on the cover over time and somehow the chain hasn't let go yet?
