The catalytic converter has a code all it's own.
Lack of top end is often due to the MAF needing a good ol' fashioned cleaning.
I've never experience a catalytic convertor being clogged, i think this applies to older cars and not newer ones. I've got a stock cat and my car has 223k miles on it.
Perhaps your front O2 sensor was shot.

Yeah I spoke too soon, I went to my buddy's shop and borrowed his scanner and it still had the Knock sensor stored.. But no CEL

After we messed with it and drove it the light came back on.. Dam I shouldn't have messed with it !! haha

Well I guess it was bad to begin with, im going to purchase a knock sensor off ebay.

I wish I would have taken pics of the CAT, that thing was really messed up.. I also noticed that this car has been running PIG rich. The entire exhaust was covered in a thick coat of black stuff, Too much!! more than I have seen in any other car. I also found the injectors clips were not all pointing in the same direction.. I think this car had a problem with the injectors, (possibly a leaky inj).

Almost every old nissan I've ever pulled codes on had a knock sensor code. When I was working for them, I asked the master tech and he said "That's normal, ignore it." Everything from quest mini vans to hard body trucks. The fact that it doesn't throw a light shows that nissan doesn't consider it much of a problem either.

Changing my knock sensor made my car feel 150% percent better. I don't care what anyone says about it being insignificant, it made a world of difference for my car.

yeah, because a knock code makes the ECU switch to a different timing map, which pulls timing at all values on the map

Unless you have a JWT computer...

The knock sensor is disabled on the JWT computers, and on Calum as well iirc. It is too hard to tune a timing map when the computer makes constant adjustments to the timing, testing knock thresholds. It is not healthy for the engine.

I did every test possible on the knock sensor situation. I checked for signal to the ECU, all within range. I tested the ohms of the knock sensor. I tried several new sensors. Nothing fixed it. I even ran a different signal wire (shielded) back to the pin on the ECU and it still throws the code.

So I have since given up. Since I don't have any excessive valve noise (VVL) and piston tolerances are as tight as they can be safely, I don't think there is anything we can do to fix the issue. When talking with JWT they said that code is expected.

My Calum recently started storing a knock code every time start it up, which never happened before. I'm not sure what the deal is.

put a spacer on the rear O2, and this wont happen, they are $2.00 for 2. you need both.

drill out 1, screw the O2 sensor into that 1, screw that into the other one, screw the whole deal into exhaust, clear code, no more code.
