so me and a friend just installed a used CS shift stabilizer bushing, a used B&M short shifter and an ES shifter stablizer (in front)...

the part where the B&M attaches to the shift linkage was a lot smaller than stock (didn't go from one end to the other) is there a bushing that needs to go in there to fill the gap? I'm not happy with it so far.. it feels good, but rattles like crazy.. we put in a couple of washers to fill the gap, but i think they are part of the rattling..

You just use washers with that b&m knockoff.

mine isn't chrome, it looks like stainless steel, which would make it a real B&M..

Guys I believe I know what the vibration is from. It's not from any brushing or the brass ball wearing and needing to add washers to the linkage. on the knockoff b&m look at the snap ring where u stick the needle to pry open the ring, it digs into the plastic housing around the brass ball n it loosen up so that's where it starts to vibrate. hopefully u guys understand what I'm talking bout. now with the snap ring u need to grind it so it is perfectly circular so that when you shift hard it doesn't dig into the plastic housing of the ball.

I made my own solid shifter mount. I used a piece of 2"x2"x1\8th" angle stock. Not real fancy, but it has worked fine ever since my tranny swap. Just use a short bolt and a nylock nut. It's super easy to make with a hacksaw and drill. I even lowered my shifter a lil by drilling the middle hole lower.
