Here, I circled the split. Hopefully you can spot it. What's most interesting about these is that these are pre-cutting which makes me think they are made like this *?shurg?*:

LOL, hahaha that is not a crack dude, That split is there to allow the bushing to fit over the sway bar, And yes you can use it like that. I have had my swaybar bushing as my shifter bushing for over a year now and i love it. Keeps the shifter in place very nice and yes very easy to find gears.

That crack should be there, it is so that it can be put around a sway bar and the sway bar mount bracket secures the bushing around the sway bar when it is tightened. You should be fine, not to worry....just remember to grease the bushing, urethane bushings are harder than rubber so they are a bit squeaky without some grease.

Well, I got the ES bushing in down by the cross member, but when I saw what was involved to get the Stabilizer one in, I decided against it. Seems I have to take down the catalytic converter and a bunch of other stuff to get to it. Looks a lot more involved. I think I'll save this for when I shorten my shifter. BTW, my ES bushing by the cross member was in like new condition and didn't notice much difference w/the ES bushing.
