Revived! Now that winter is coming around, it takes a few minutes to warm up and idle well, but after that it's fine (the TB screw method).

i am thinking about doing away with my aac valve, it just seems to be giving me a pain in the ass, and it really doenst seem to be doing its job very well with my aem unit

everytimes i try to adjust my aac valve down for lower idle i just get a bouncy idle and i think i am just going to get rid of that damn sensor it seems ot be useless unless i want a high idle.

even if i use a known good good aem calibration it still doesnt effect the aac valv e nad ive used multiple aac valves so i donno

What results did just blocking the IACV give?

I was wondering the same thing. I may try just blocking the iacv this weekend to see how it works.

ok so i recently plugged my iacv hose that runs from the intake tube to the iacv stuff.. then i capped the thing on the intake tube also.. and since the ve has an extra vacume port just behind the tb i took a small hose an connected it to the small tiny port i on the intake tube.. (they were both capped off) anyways.. then i adjusted the TB to where i wanted my idle..

so far so good, its been kinda warm lately an she starts right up an idles right at 850-900.
although a few times i had to hold the gas pedal for like 5 seconds but after that its fine.. im hoping it will do the same on cold starts an stuff..

im pretty sure she'll pass emissions with out issue, her idles dead on, gas cap holds pressure an she runs perfectly at 14.7 under casual driving and at idle i can drive it hard an let off an she doesnt try to die, i can rev it high an let off an she doesnt try to die.. its GREAT!!

i think that ball valve methods a tad over kill.. lol but i totaly agree with everyone that said they were done with this crap.. iacv ftl.. worthless pos.. not worth the money to fix or replace at all

That's the key: block off both sides of the IACV.
