Fuel filler neck without restrictor?
I was attempting to remove the restrictor in the filler neck that prevents larger fuel pumps (diesel?) from being inserted. The point behind this is to allow faster fuelingmfrom amfuel jug at the track.

Apparently on the B13 this piece is spot welded to the tube in 3 places, making it very hard to remove. I'm afraid if I pry too much I may break a hole in the tube. I've tried to get my Dremel in there with am cutting disc, but there isn't enough space to see what I'm doing. Next option is a grinding attachment for the Dremel tomorrow. The gas tank is out of the car and there is no danger of explosions.

Does anyone know of a filler neck from another model (USDM) that lacks this piece, or has one more easily removable? I'd like to keep things as stock looking as possible if I can pick up something at the salvage yard this weekend.

Answering my own question. I went to courtesyparts.com, where they have a lot of parts diagrams for the various years/models. I went through quite a few different models, and didn't really find anything that looked like the same shape as the filler neck on the B13. They all had different bends to get to fuel tanks that were in slightly different places.

My build thread has some info on how I finally removed the restrictor plate, hopefully this will help anyone that has to go through this.
