Today I was cleaning off the trunk which is OEM gloss with some RainX Glass Cleaner and for Ss&Gs tried it on the satin bumper, came out great and took like 2 mins if that.

FWIW: Its much easier to get a consistent MATT finish using plasti-dip... that stuff is almost fool proof!

The other option (and probably the most common) is doing a vinyl wrap

vinyl wrap can be a major PITA to work with and expensive to get done by a pro... plasti-dip is so easy to work with in comparison

You could use black plastidip with some glossifier and get that finish, I think. I've been reading about it, its pretty popular in the Honda world, and I'm planning on doing my b14 flat OD green when its running. There's an accord about 3/4 of the way down this page, looks likw what you want.

I've considered doing my SE-L rims in plastidip. Does anyone know how much a professional would charge to do a whole car?

I personally like the look. As mentioned, vinyl can be a pain, and expensive. How durable is plastidip?

The SE-L rims probably $200 to do all four

Has anyone done the vinyl? how hard is it to keep clean? I used to work in a vinyl sign shop for a few years.
Im sure I could manage to make it look good. But how long would it stay looking good? anybody have vinyl decals, or any experience with them, or the like?
