It's The Jalopnik March Madness Beat-Off!

It's a tough one. I'd make my own bracket if I had the time. It's all based on polls.

And our pride and joy is in it!....Well all it says is Nissan Sentra. But it has a picture of a B13.

It faces some pretty stiff competition. First round is against the Cavelier, lol? My guess is it won't make it passed the second round just because the CRX is so well known and the SE-R is not. CRX has a great chassis too...

Well if anyone cares the b13 is up for voting today. A bunch of good beaters to choose from.

I'll be honest, I saw March Madness and lost interest. Thankfully your most recent reply brought me back here.

I hope the B13 beats the Cavalier but the CRX is dead-to-rights the winner vs a B13.

Both the CRX and Sentra won their rounds. But ya, it doesn't have a chance against the CRX.

#1 because all it says is "Nissan Sentra". It's just generalizing.
#2 only a fraction of people know about the B13 SE-R

When you really stop to think about it though, it's a close comparison.

Both have a good handling chassis, with the edge going to the CRX. But SE-R has got the powerplant. Around a roadcourse, it would be close depending on straights versus curves.

Practicality is close too. CRX gets 50mpg even in Si trim. But it can't carry any luggage or more than two people. SE-R wins here.

Safety was a big complaint with the CRX. I believe it received 2 stars. So SE-R wins there too.

SE-Rs are cheaper too.

As an all arounder, SE-R takes the cake from an analytical perspective....and some bias

So, even though no one clearly cares, the Sentra they are referring to is the B12. And the CRX rightfully just destroyed it 85/15. Not sure if anyone on there knows about the b13.

This is an outrage.
