Not sure how I feel about this. Nissan has just been a big pile of burning shit rolling downhill.

Re-post. Close on the timestamps, though.

Not to be a downer but this is just a bunch of marketing hype. I could render a model that looks like an engine and say it makes 1000hp in 1 hour. Nissan tells us nothing about the engine but for peak power and torque (useless). Perhaps this is exciting for some but from an engineers view it is just annoying. And good god they will probably put it in that delta-wing type chassis, which need I remind you placed LAST with an 8 second gap from P1 and slower then all the P2 cars in 2013.....I have friends who work in LeMans and they report that the delta wing is a complete wreck and considered a joke at the track. Oh and why in the hell would you design a 3cyl engine, almost as bad as a single cylinder (needlessly high crank loads and not smooth)....mother of god this pisses me off Nissan. End of rant .

One last note, are you all really impressed by a 1.5L making 400hp, especially when we know nothing else about it other then it's weight? Mind you that does not include the intake manifold or exhaust/turbo with that weight figure....How about fuel used, CR, stroke, operating RPM range, usable power range, and inlet manifold pressure it made that HP at???

Yes the engine is still very much a mystery, but the concept seem very interesting.

Maybe I'm easily impressed or just a sucker for marketing hype...

I wish they would include the turbo, charge pipes, charge coolers, and whatnot when they list the weight of the engine.

What concept? There is absolutely nothing new stated stated or shown about this engine I can see? Just curious what the hype is? Try taking a look at a CBR600RR engine...and explain what is better/new about this one? (not trying to be a dick btw).
