I think it has to do with how you are tuned. I didn't touch anything boost related when I swapped the turbo, and when I was first tuned by Shiv from Vishnu, I was spiking to 17psi and dropping from there, but when I was tuned again with the stock DP, that was at 15psi.

I think stock boost is 11psi on these cars.

Waiting to see how the tune works out to see what boost I can run @~85% duty cycle or whatever they think is safe but yeah I am hoping there's a big gain and some mpg to be had.

I might disconnect the WG on my stock turbo and see how it does... just to see what to expect out of a bigger turbo mpg wise.

Have you been painting a bunch of B15/P11 parts? You gotta open a window when you do that man.

By disconnecting the WG I'm talking about the WG arm that connects to the door, not the boost feed line :-P

oh ok, makes a little more sense. Still not on board with that. My setups are fairly conventional. Car feels really good, keeping my foot out of it but its always tough with boost. Really excited for the tuning.

Ok today was like my birthday. I traced the lines onto the graph. Dyno was set conservatively. On the drive home my grin was very liberal.

Once again; Car is all stock Subaru, Cali emissions legal 100%

Mods; Snorkle delete, STi up-pipe, 08 STi intercooler, STi VF39 turbo, STi catback

Did the guy give you the tune? My setup is different (for now), but would love to see it still.

No but anyone can pull it off the ecu... I'll ask him though.

oh and he said he calibrated it to look like a Mustang dyno. Dynojet #s were a lot higher but when I saw them I was like 'no way'.
