I like the Optima Red tops but they are expensive but they last. My buddies Optima went for almost 8 years before it died.

I bought one for my car but then went with a smaller battery and ended up putting it in my wifes MDX after the original battery took a dump. Original battery lasted 5 years. So far the redtop is a little over a year old and no issues.

I like Diehard Gold batteries as well. Had the original diehard gold that came in my car for over 4 years and never had an issue and not its still in a buddies car so 5 years old now and still going strong and they are reasonably priced as well.

Ill be using an Odyssey PC680 in my car now

I'm another one of those guys who says Optima batteries are crap. I've had four Optima Red Top batteries. Two were replacements for their orignals. Each died after approxiamately two years of ownership. I had better life out of the original battery and the AutoZone branded battery that replaced it (just over 5 years each). That being said, I can't say anything bad about Optima's customer service. They were easy to deal with and promptly replaced the battery each time the original failed. For me, Optima batteries are too expensive given their short service life. I currently am using standard automotive batteries on all my vehicles.

You can see how mine's mounted in this pic. Can't really beat a reliable 14lbs battery.
