How The Hell Do You Get These Injectors Out?
I am glad you asked. There is an east fool proof method for doing this that does not cause any damage to the injectors.

Special thanks to NISSANGUY for taking the pics.

Tools Need for the Job
1. Vis grip
2. Large Flat head screw driver
3. Philips Screw driver

1. Use the Vis Grip to loosen the screws. You can then use a philips screw driver to screw them out once they are loose.

2. Side view of where to put the screw driver.

3. Insert flat head screw driver into postion. Make sure it gets all the way up under.

4. Then all you have to do is twist and the inj pops out.

Thats it folks, it is that easy. If the injs are in a little tight you can spray a little WD40 around the top of the injs so it gets ioto where the oring is and turn inj with your hand until it turns freely then go to step 3 and 4.

Sadly this thread is worthless without the pics.

An item worth getting is a phillips head impact driver. You hit it with a hammer, and it pushes down an clicks 1/4 a turn. Perfect for loosening those pesky phillips that easy strip.

or just place a flat head screw driver on the small washer and tap with a hammer, this loosens the screw so it can be easily un-done.

What a pain in the butt. Got the caps and fittings off. Am now waiting an extended period for the injectors to loosen enough to pull out... soaking them in creeper spray.

Can't wait until these are switched out.

Seriously, does the fuel rail have to be out of the car to do this? I've disconnect the fuel line(I'm assuming that this relieves fuel pressure) plus a couple of other lines. Damn injectors just want to spin around.

Pissing me off. I've looked through the fsm and they've got the fuel rail out. Was not thinking this had to be done.

The pictures in this thread showed a large flat-head screw driver being used to pry the injectors out. Place the blade of the screw driver between the fuel rail and the lowest part of the injector and then twist the screw driver.

Thanks, Ben. I ended up doing this by accident on 1 injector, and then popped the other out easy as pie. I'm guessing the didn't want to come out easy after sitting in there for 21 years.
