Turbo - waste gate actuator
Hi All, my mechanic tells me there is a loss of pressure in my waste gate, I cannot find the part number for this part. I have a 2001 Nissan x trail gt, it’s a t30 model. I have two questions; 1- can anyone identify the turbo and waste gate actuator part numbers and 2- can the waste gate actuator be bought separately or do I need to buy the whole unit. Thanks in advance for the help. The engine is the Sr20vet.

You should be able to buy just the wastegate actuator. I don't have the part number, but you'll find it.

doesn't look like Nissan sells the actuator separately

If not, I'd be looking for used actuators on eBay or similar.

Thank you, I found the same schematic after a a bit of searching but the whole unit comes together, I was hoping not to have to buy the complete unit. My mechanic says he can likely make it work with a decent performance waste gate actuator. Fingers crossed. It’s a shame to have such an awesome engine under perform!

That's true. You should just order a better aftermarket wastegate actuator.
I loved the unit I used on my car. The company even took my specs and created a new product, since they didn't make one to fit my application. I really wanted their wastegate actuator, so I was very happy when they worked with me.

Here are some posts from my build thread about it:

I think I’ve sourced a decent actuator, just need to determine the opening pressure. Any ideas? Thank you in advance for any suggestions.

If you found an actuator with two ports, then get a low pressure spring like 5 PSI or something and control it with a simple boost controller.
If you are getting one with a single port, or don't want to mess with a simple boost controller, then figure out what boost pressure the car runs normally and get that. It's probably like 13.5 PSI or something like that. But look it up, as I don't really know.
