Yes and with a pic if possible. Searching for this as verifiable info is useless. Lots of here say and no proof backing it up. Measurement with pic would be ideal and quite useful.

Got it measured. My method was I wiped the gasket clean of any foreign debris and zero-ed out the caliper between each measurement. I'm by no means an expert on this, it's just what I came up with on a used VET MLS gasket. I'll hold on to the gasket in case there are any additional measurements or images requested.

I took 12 measurements at different points around the gasket:

1.37mm
1.37mm
1.37mm
1.32mm
1.28mm
1.29mm
1.27mm
1.32mm
1.30mm
1.31mm
1.31mm
1.32mm

Averaging the measurements appears to be 1.319mm

Now, it was pretty clear when taking it apart that I f-d up the install when I put it together 5 years ago, but I hope the measurements help.

Here's what I came up with:

1.37mm

1.37mm

1.37mm

1.32mm

1.28mm

1.29mm

1.27mm

1.32mm

1.30mm

1.31mm

1.31mm

1.32mm

I'd say that's 1.3 pretty safely. Thank you very much!

1.3mm = .051"

compression calculates out currently to 10.15. Not knowing yet if the block needs to be decked, and what the final deck measurement will be. Also not know yet what the actual chamber volume will be with the new valves

If the chamber volume remains... static will be about 10.2 once the deck of the block gets machined.

our specs....

of course in millimeters - so we must convert

.04mm = .00157"
.073mm = .00287"

So tight guides would be about .0015", loose guides would be .0029"

Our guides - measured in thousandths of an inch

4 guides are out of spec, 3 guides are on the loose end of the spectrum (.063mm), only one guide is acceptable to me, that would be guide #7, or the first guide in #4 cylinder, and that is .05mm. No reason to keep one, so all 8 exhaust guides will be replaced.

Head is @ the machine shop getting the exhaust guides replaced. I've instructed the shop to have a guide to valve clearance of no less than .002", and no more than .0023" - .051mm to .058mm. I chose .051mm (instead of spec of .040mm) as a minimum do to turbo use.
