B15 ecu upgrade
Hi guys...
we just installed headers and cut out on an friends B15 SE , and tuned it up with afc using a wideband, but even tho it pulls nice its like somethings missing, and Im sure its the fact that the factory ecu revs to 6750 or so, so we are thinking on how to raise the rev limiter. Since its actualy a family car he doesnt want to get into nistune or anything so we were thinking on how a P11 ecu would work on it...
anyone with any experience on the subject...?
I did search but couldnt find anything on the subject...

PD: can a mod plz move it to the right section, thanks

I think b15's can be programmed with a consult, so I imagine there is a way to program it without making all those changes.

Uhhh... it's been so long since I worked for nissan.

I looked it up on somedata/alldata and according to it you can.

Last time I was working there they had consult 2 and you had these program cards. You'd download info on them and then program the car. Looks like you can just put an sd card in there now. Kinda neat.

I'm sure someone has came out with an aftermarket reprogrammer by now.

and is there a way to raise the rev limiter?

will a P11 ecu be plug and play (fine tune with afc)?

you can have the rev limiter changed by technosquare, but thats about it. tuning ecu's arent available. you basically have to go to a b14-p10 ecu to have any kind of tuning ecus or standalone.

A 00+ P11 ECU should work no issues but I don't think that'll get you anywhere, same limit no?

unless im mistaken P11 ECUs rev to 7500...

thats the thing we only want to raise rev limter, dont care to tune with the computer, we have the afc for it, and since the car is gonna stay nearly stock Calum or Nistune will be kinda pointless for just headers and WAI...

99 P11 redline is 7,200rpm, 00-02 is same as the B15 if I'm not mistaken. You would have to go with a b14-p10 ecu/
