does any one know if the b13 lsd is the same as the b15 lsd minus the ring gear>

found out they are the same....

any one knows how many teeth on a b15 ring gear and how many teeth on a p11 ring gear. i am getting 71 teeth on my ring gear which happens to be the same teeth count on my b13 diff. so i am going to assume that i have a p11 transmission and not a b15 as i was told.

Whats necessary to change just the bellhousing? I hoping it doesnt require the full tear down process

My rear mount broke and caused a break in the bellhousing.

full tear-down unfortunately. Gotta pull stacks out of the bell housing and put them in new housing

Are the shifter forks the same from both trannies? Incase you have a b15/p11 trans with bent shifter forks inside the tranny.

In this pic, can u see 1 check ball in each side slot? Or is it just the glare from the flash?

I bought an LSD P11 box from Andreas and the pinion and ring gear were thrashed. He sent a new pinion shaft and ring gear but the ring gear was just a little smaller. Miko said he didn't remember where they came from but I thought he mentioned a QG.

I figure my final drive is taller since the ring gear is smaller and the mating gear on the pinion shaft is bigger. Either way it's a nice match for the VE in the G20. 1st has more to give.

Nice write up. Also, I find that I can use the pin punch to easily remove the shift rods by pushing the punch through the pinhole while rotating and lifting up on the rod.
