Stock DET oil cooler?
I've been told that the stock oil cooler isn't really with a damn, but it's water cooled... Does anyone know for sure how well it works??? I may put one on my motor after the mishap following the convention. If anyone has some solid before and after temp data, that would be awesome.

i herd the samething from a couple of people. But this is how i see it. Its probably better then nuthing. Even if it bearly cools it down you will be better off then having it a couple of degrees hotter. I would like to have one also just to have it.

I think nissan put it there for a reason. Perhaps they were aware of the water temp issues with SR's and this was a band-aid sollution. Either way it can't hurt. I actually want to put one of these on my ve.

Ya I think because it has a stock oil cooler you have to make good use of your radiator cooling. I think because of this oil cooler my water temps are higher than a DE+T, which is a good thing in a way because it's attempting to cool the oil down as well, but you gotta watch coolant temps and efficiency more closely under heavy driving conditions.
