Really? After the detailed posts, your takeaway is Shawn should have called Justin?

And that would have done exactly what? Would it have un-fucked his engine bay? Would it have made the tune all better? Would it have made me want to drive the car like I stole it?

Yeah. A call would make it all better.

Shawn's definitely at fault here.

Or MAYBE they should have done the job right on the second go round. You know, after Merliss drove it back to Connecticut with a punch list of items to be fixed. Items that should not have existed. If it were done right the first time, Shawn would have driven it directly home from the convention, an instead of this barrel of monkeys post, he would have made a "OH MY GOD, MY CAR IS AWESOME, AND MARSH TUNING ARE THE BOMB" thread. Nobody wanted that reality more than Shawn.

He didn't ask for this.
He didn't pay for this.
And he damn sure doesn't deserve this.

Close your eyes, and close your ears if you so choose. But realize this: This thread WILL make a difference in how the community perceives Marsh Tuning.

We're all in to hear what 'the other side' has to say. The thing you overlook is that he did call, and he did email, and was friendly for yeras before hand, all while during, and after...look at the dates vs the post...trust me when I say, there was ample opportunity to make this right....

SrBoostJunkie, you're right on the money. I don't know everything there is to know about re-building an engine. Let me tell you what I do know. If I gave a PROFESSIONAL shop an open budget, unlimited schedule, and an agreement that the end product would be an OEM quality build, you better believe I'd expect something better than this OG can build in my own fucking garage!...

Marsh Tuning and Morfius Performance
The thread of the year IMO. Learned a lot from reading the entire thread, suscribed, and waiting for a resolution to this. To be real for as much green as Shawn B has paid to receive a finished product he got ripped off. There are honest players that should and will shoulder the blame for the unfortunate series of results that transpired but there is at least someone or more than one individual that basically didn't give a fuck about doing the right thing. Especially when they had the opportunity to right the many wrongs that have been addressed in this thread. Just calling it as I see it. And I wrench on my own cars just to avoid unfortunate drama like this. Trust is a very valued but abused and overlooked trait of a selfless and hard working individual who lives by the simple statement- you can never go wrong by doing the right thing. We'll see if it can still happen here. Bushes hacked....for now.

Alright so I'm going to encourage the blasting from onlookers to wait for Marks response. He's out right now and we all would like the time to breathe when given a emotionally charged email or post. Let's be civil while he takes the time to craft a response. This may take a day or two, and to he fair to Mark, Shawns posts are pretty strong, so may take a while to craft appropriately and professionally.

I'm hoping it involves the words of "i screwed up" or "that is my fault". Unless there is something egregious that we've all overlooked or don't know about, I'm unsure how any other response makes sense.

Shit happens - trust me, I run a shop now that's been around for over 50 years in our family - and we NEVER accept payment nor release something like this. It would be the equivalent of me booking a job of swapping a transmission in a truck, my brother putting the wrong one in, my Dad driving it and knowing it's wrong but saying it's ok as it works but isn't how it was, my other brother dropping it off at the truck stop to get picked up, all while my Uncle accepting credit card payment over the phone...

Sure we could blame my brother for putting it in wrong, but you'd also have to blame myself for not keeping on top of the job, my dad for not saying anything, and my uncle for taking the money and running, and then offering no solution as to how it happened.
