Your health comes first above everything else boss. I'd rather see you alive and pissing vinegar than think of you as a memory that was once full of life and fighting spirit. You may not like the situation you're in but for the OGs and other loyal members that respect you and would gladly call you their friend at least you're still here. You believe it or not are a big part of why most of us are still here on the forums.

I see that Shawn hasn't posted on a while and I hope that he's alright. Does anyone know what work was done to get that radiator further in towards the support? I'm guessing it's only up top, but is it further in in the bottom as well?

I'm fine. Thanks for asking.

I'll look at the bottom of the radiator tomorrow and let you know. I *think* it got moved both top and bottom. Outside of a bit of paint, it's very cleanly done.

Jamie and I have not been in touch since October 2016, nor will we correspond further per my decision.

He refused to honor his commitment to me that he made in May 2016, to come down to Louisiana in the fall and fix my car. Come fall, he insisted that I had to ship him the car ($1,000.00 +/-), and then he would cover the rest on his end. The finances are not the issue with Jamie and/or I (plane tickets vs shipping a vehicle, incidental parts, etc....) and never have been. His reasoning is that he wanted enough time to do it right, and was unwilling to spend the time to make things with me right if he had to make two (2) weekend trips to LA to get the job done.

We discussed it more than enough. We are at an impasse and as far as I am concerned, our friendship is no more. If it ever was.

That pretty much ends the story.

I have not posted since Jamie and I last spoke/texted because I have been too upset. Got a wild hair today, and figured I owed you guys an update.

My Classic will stay in my shop, get gently driven every two weeks, get plugged back into its battery charger.

When I have my disposable/entertainment finances back in order, it will go to another long-term forum member to get fixed and professionally tuned.

First off..glad you are still kicking..I was thinking of you the other day wondering if you may escape the stress and try to go to TX convention

Second. thanks for the update. This sucks to see and hear that this was just pushed aside and not finished up properly.Seems like it would be a pretty easy fix for Jamie. Luckily the car runs ok as it is so when the time is right you can retune and sort it all out..

Correction Jay. The car runs like ass, as has been fully documented with Chriscar and Jamie. They both have the videos. Idle is super high during initial start, then goes to constantly up and down and up and down bullshit when the AC is on. The vehicle was never street-tuned to any reasonable degree. Sounds like a 16-year old ricer is at the wheel trying to stoplight race the nearest clapped-out bespoilered Civic.

No PCV system is no bueno. Can lead to blow by and ring failure amongst other wonderful problems. I looked it up.

The car has not been safely and enjoyably drive-able since shipping to CT three (3) fucking years ago. I have not driven it more than 100 miles since I got it home. Just enough to fully warm up, get a tiny bit of gentle restrained exercise, and back in my shop it goes. Two weeks later rinse and repeat.

I still do not have the disposable income to fix my car, there sure as fuck is no way I will take the time or a dime of my money to attend any motherfucking Conventions. You know, the place where I met those wonderful fellow enthusiasts and life-long "friends" of mine from CT.

It's a shame, but I'm still disillusioned, bitter, and easily activated by this topic.

You know I'm not snappin' at you Jay.

I just checked and listed as a motherfucking sponsor is "Marsh Tuning - Mark Merliss." Nothing but a thieving, low-life, lying, sack of shit, pathetic scumbag. Why not add JGY and Junior from New York?

In October Jamie claimed that he hadn't spoken to Mark in several months and Marsh Tuning was no more. Hilarious.

I'm from San Antonio, currently have family living in San Antonio, it's a 7 hour drive and I wouldn't need any directions or maps of any sort.

The chance of me attending is zero.

You left out a few key points, for your own reasons I'm assuming.

One being the additional time needed to convert to speed density using the MAF 5v reference as opposed to the break-out box which we've found be be faulty.

Or the removal of the Consult wiring at the ECU to remedy the datalogger communication issues, as recommended by John Kerr.

The financing for the travel was never the issue, more of a time/materials on hand issue traveling to a farm in LA with new-found remedies to your issues on hand.

What did it for me with continuing communication was in our last conversation. A conversation where you wished DEATH on an individual mentioned earlier in this post. Not as a joke but a detailed description along with a history lesson on your "violent" past. I now understand the notion "Deeply Disturbed in Louisiana".

Regardless of the circumstances, that is something I can't stomach. My respect for you went right out the window at that point. No lost sleep on this end.

Good luck to you and the rest on this board.
