X3.

A mere testament to how highly we all think of Joe. It is that simple.

Joe is a great guy. He is one of my best friends and I cant believe people take advantage of stuff like this.
Looking back I have had a ton of business deals with Joe. Hell I have sold him 4 or 5 cars and we have never had a disagreement what so ever.
Also I warned Joe about these guys after a couple issues. Some people are out to make money and some are out to pour their heart into a business and make money.

I think they fall under the first one. That is all I have to say. Im glad I never put a dime into their pocket.

I'm sorry to say, but this thread sums up "the dash" for me. Seems like this is an on-going thing with this forum. I hope everything get's squared away. Maturity in people is, apparently, difficult to come by these days. I do realize, however, this is a difficult community to serve, so hats off to those that stay alive (eg. GregV).

No one is holding you here. You have to understand that this is the last straw with OEM, not the first so the people are being more candid. Everything is squared away, OEM is gone.

This is not a difficult community to serve, all you have to do is what you say you are doing, and if something goes wrong fix it in a timely manor and everyone is fine.

Where did you come to that conclusion in this thread? Did you randomly read only 2-3 posts and miss what happened? Please by all means leave if you think the community is the issue when we all band together when people try to scam members here.

I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt, because the tone of your post is difficult to make out.

The situation is what it is, but I prefer this forum to the other forums that had members get ripped off, and no one felt it necessary to act. Or ones that ban outright, prematurely.

---

As for people here being 'cheap' (if that's part of your indictment), it's the nature of the car. Sure Hondas, 240s and BMWs sell for way more on forums, but a lot of those people are gullible with too much disposable money.

When 'cheap' starts to affect the preference of Chinese knock-offs over innovation, that's when it starts to bother me. But I don't see that as a problem that afflicts this forum more than others.

The best thing about this forum (as opposed to the old one) is the sense of comradery without the old-timer snobbery. A noob here can search, learn, start posting sensibly, and fit in just as easily as someone with 1,000 posts. This is a welcoming environment for those who demonstrate good intentions.

Witch hunts happen on forums, but at least here, it takes quite a bit of wrong-doing to oust someone completely.

I think he's saying we get scammed too often for his liking? I think he was trying to point out this happens a lot? I dunno...

Well, it is hard to convey a tone over the internet. You can be a snide, remark having little bitch, while maintaining proper grammar and appear like you are a genuine or intelligent person but you are still a dick. Or be genuinely honest and think with your brain and understand that this is a forum and only type out words in a way as if you were talking to a child. KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) That way, no confusion can happen and you can have a fine conversation as well. It happens a lot on the forums. Nature of the beast.

I am sure he will pop back in here and straighten it out.

He's probably referring to all the shady business transactions that have gone on here lately. Overkill, b13 cf trunk GB, that dude who had multiple profiles on here giving himself feedback, and there are more. Not everyone on here is a bad person but the scammer to good guy ratio is alot higher here then other forums ive been on.

Its good to have a community with good comradery but there are times when you cant make decisions based on another long time members word. This Overkill guy had lynch420, and the jimi guy from CT selling his product for him on other forums, and most people gave them a second chance because of the work Joe let them do on his car. This was after OEM came on the forum looking to copy another members product. I dont know about you guys but that showed Overkills horrible business practices right there, and i vowed not to ever buy anything from them. Maybe it was the thought of new parts for the FWD SR that gave them a 2nd chance, but i think they were trusted too easily.

Another part of the "ongoing thing" that happens here is the pitchfork mentality. Once someone is deemed wrong everyone grabs their pitchforks and beats it to shit usually meaning lots of insults and shawn B threatening to beat someone up. Gets kinda old but idk.... I have no problems with anyone on here. There is good info, some quality builds, but i just try to stay away from the classifieds section on here.
