How did the event go guys? Did you have a good turnout?

Turnout was very good, roughly 40 pre-registered and about 10 drive-ins for a total of around 50 cars or so. There were issues with the timing system as they were using the autocross system (infrared or laser I believe) and the dust was probably causing the issues. There were also problems with people not getting their full amount of runs. It was the first event in 7-8 years so I feel they did an ok job overall, considering the issues.

It was my first time on a dirt oval track, which was fun. We used a portion of the infield and about a quarter of the oval. The oval had a bunch of slalom cones which made things interesting.

Final Results, #1 - SUSQ RallyCross - 11/18/2012

We had a couple practice runs and 5 (well, 4 for me) timed runs.
My score got killed because of driving the wrong way around a gate (3rd run off, such a stupid mistake) and the fact that they never gave me a 5th run and marked it as an 80 (sort of ticked about that). Without the off on the third run it would have been a 51.587, and with a decent timed 5th run we would have probably made 2nd in class. Looking at the results apparently a bunch of people did not get timed 5th runs. No cones though, which was a surprise!

Overall it was ok, it was cheaper at $45 and I got some seat time in. I'd give the region another try, but if the issues don't get ironed out I probably won't show up again.

On the other hand, the Philly region rallyx at Kempton was phenomenal, we had a TON of runs, I can't even remember how many but we ran two sessions and I believe it was around 10 each session. The course was excellent, Paul and the others did a great job. Managed a 7th overall (out of 19 cars), 2nd in class at that rallyx. It's good fun beating up on high dollar AWD cars with a $1k NX
