It's a hack for the GoPro. Your intercom has to have an output (like my Peltor FMT120).

There's a ton of info on doing stuff to the HD here:

Nice job, this thread has been a source of motivation for me to finish mine. You look decently quick out there, grats on third!

Here's a diagram for wiring up a GoPro for remote on/off, audio in, and power. Obviously, not all of this is needed just for audio in.

Here's a source for the connectors used (same connector as the Apple iPhone/Ipads pre iPhone5, but different pinout).

Dock connectors and tools for Sandisk Sansa, Creative Zen and GoPro

No, there's a connector inside the GoPro already. I don't know if you have to cut a hole to plug into it or not, as mine just shipped and I won't have them in hand until some time next week.

You do need to solder connectors onto a plug that then gets plugged into the GoPro. I'll let you know more once I've got the cameras in hand along with the plugs.

I'm planning on building a setup that will provide power to two cameras, allow both to be turned on/off with one button, and have an audio jack that provides signal to one of the two cameras.

What intercom do you have in your car Gus?

Did some web-searching. Looks like you have a Terraphone Pro? If so, i may actually have the cable to get audio out of that laying around somewhere. I used to have one of those and was going to build a radio interface for it, before I decided to switch to the Peltor.

Well, I'm still waiting on some connectors to build the GoPro remotes, but there's also another rally guy who is working on building a remote to sell. He's done a lot of intercom/helmet adapters and other rally electronics, so I expect it'll be a quality product when he's done with it. His website is here: Home Page Might be a good option for you, Gus.

I got in a NismoTronic RT ECU setup and an Innovate wideband O2 sensor. I gotta pull the tune that John loaded on the ECU and take a good look at it, because it really seems to have woken up the very tired (185K with 15K+ of hard rally and rallycross abuse) engine. Thing didn't chirp second heading onto the highway, it flat out spun until I eased back to let it grab. Now, that's on gravel tires, so it's not super amazing, except, it couldn't even chirp them anymore before the new ECU. And I haven't done any tuning yet, but A/F is dead on the whole way up on a WOT pull.

Oh, sweet video from the last event I ran. Not much of the Sentra in it (my own fault for not getting them video), but you get a nice shot of my helmet sitting on the roof on the car
