??? For 240 guys
I have a friend that wants to buy my fed sr20de build ht and boost it and drop it in his 240 I'd basically give him the motor and it's low mileage. I know the intake manifolds are different what else is needed to swap?

A rwd block. A rwd tranny. A CAS instead of the distributor, one that will fit like the 20v version. (Or a rwd head)

So short answer is everything. Fwd motor will not go into a rwd car. At least not easily.

Not worth the time, the trans does not bolt up correctly and requires modification to the block in order for it to bolt up, intake manifold and cooling pipes are different, heads are different. RWD det swaps can be had for 1000 bucks or less if you find the right place or right deal.

Best thing to do, buy a RWD SR20DE setup, there are several for about $1,400 shipped they have the ECU, wiring harness, and even exhaust manifold still on there. Some that have painted valve covers or other aftermarket looking parts have cams and if the head has been taken off, probably some porting done. You can still boost these RWD NA blocks just like a FWD, but the NA SR20DE RWD setups have a distributor positioned like a KA24DE.

I wouldn't recommend a RWD SR20DE, they are hard to find and its cheaper to just get a DET since they have the lower compression and setup for turbo. I would check ebay, they are everywhere!

He is trying to put a FWD motor in a RWD car. There is more to it.

Modifying the trans or block so the starter and trans will mount up is too much work. Not cost effective.
