Absolutely. Actually *my* Grandmother said something to me as a kid that reminds me of this a bit. Every Sunday we'd go to her house in Bayonne and she always made roast beef. It was always tough for some reason but my parents never said anything. One day I said I didn't want any and she asked why, I said "it's too tough." She shrugged and just goes "it's tougher when there's none." And even though it was just some silly reply, it stuck with me and my family still today. We still say it to each other sometimes and give Grandma a nod, way way up in the sky.

Count me in for Karting!

Guys just an FYI this is *NOT* your local rinky dink lawnmower powered crappy go-carts on a tiny lame little circle. This is a real official racing Kart track with legit race Karts. These things will go 50mph no joke!!! I've had my old SE-R on this Kart track before (called the Wilson circuit) and its a lot of fun with great corners and elevation changes. Everyone is going to have a blast and it might even be more fun than a lapping event because we can do some actual wheel to wheel racing!

I have pretty thick skin....

Did you mention what that 12 year old behind you did?

No, but it's the same thing I'm going to do to you.....

(For everyone else, that kid bump drafted me until he stuffed it inside on the fastest corner of the circuit....)

And it's not just us, I'd assume all other events that were scheduled from here on out have been tossed too. No event organizer(s) would schedule for a large group in advance, start collecting money, etc. knowing the track could and would say "your date is cancelled sorry bye" and that's it. Oh wait, they said it's because some guy named Todd doesn't know how to manage the track, and we have the internet rumors of it being in bad shape and subordination/disagreements between the employees. Thanks Nelson.

You really need to have a better grasp on how the whole thing went down and what lead up to it. There are some much larger problems at play here. Yes, it sucks for us, and you're right, now there's some club races that will have to be changed as well. You have to understand that this was all propigated by the owner ( an absentee one at that) and NOT the people that ran the track on a day to day basis. These were NOT the people we had set the date with. This was all based off the decisions of someone that doesn't have a clue on how to run the place at all. the way this was done burned so many bridges it will be hard to get many old guard people back.

Now, is it time to go karting yet?

People don't understand! I've ridden and driven on large courses all over, but I cannot duplicate the fun I can have dragging knee or karting around on these tracks. They are small, but in relation to the G's you experience, the grip, the thrill, braking, lines, etc are of the same magnitude as a big course. If anything it's more technical and more fun IMO. I have to admit, I'm a little upset about Nelson but mainly because of the nostalgic appeal of the course and its history... That said, I can't be more excited about the replacement event at the track. I've never had an opportunity to rent out the course for a day. That means FASTER and FASTER times. This is truthfully a blessing in disguise. Only thing I'm salty about at this point is that I haven't been working on my rm125 birel shifter!

If I can get this thing worked on am I allowed to bring it?!?!?! fk fk fk

I'm in for karting as well! Trying to get @speedricer (haha 2nd mention) to send $99 of owed monies for room to cover karting...just to help w/the prepaid aspect of it all. It will happen regardless!

Thank you to all who are behind the scenes on this! Kudos!
