OT: Savannah GA?????
Thinking about taking the wife to Savannah for a few days prior to the convention (it's our anniversary). Can anyone chime in about things to do and such that's been there or from around there?
Looking for good food, history, attractions that we can't get from my part of the world.

TIA

Savannah is literally in my backyard so I've gotten to know the place very well over the past 7 years I've lived down here. Yes River St. and Market Sq./Congress St. are fun. Also take a walk down Bay St. They all run parallel to each other. A drive down River St. will certainly let you know if there are any loose parts on your car! You'll see why...
The Pink House... eh, the place is good, but not great. My wife and I frequent this little place called Cha Bella. The food is exquisite and all locally grown/farmed/caught so it's fresh as can be and the service is great too!

Thanks for the input. Is there any part of town that would be preferred to stay in?

Really anyplace downtown is good to stay. Everything is within walking distance. The Weston across the river is awesome. They have a ferry shuttle right to downtown.

Actually going to rent something off of VRBO, that way we can do laundry and cook breakfast and such.
