Oil separator box
I have NEVER liked these boxes. Paint always chips off and they are just ugly. I have been looking at an old removal/bypass thread about it. And I've seen pics of other motors with a long hose in replace of the box. Is it that easy? If so I'm not going to repaint mine and put it back on. I'll just go get some hose and clamp it in place.

I think most of the time when you see that, those motors have the roller rocker vc on them. I know people ditch that setup that way. You could probably just put a hose in place of the box as long as you find something to put inside the hose to filter the oil. In one of the stock hoses off the valve cover (the one that goes back into the intake) theres a little metal pipecleaner looking thing. If you can find something like that to use, I don't see why you couldn't ditch that box altogether.

Yeah I replaced the small one going into the intake and noticed the little fitting inside. So the box does have some kinda filter in it? I have an old one I think I might cut it open just to do it. In the meantime I'll watch this post and keep prepping the box for paint.

you could just swap a rr or ve valve cover that box is important in keeping oil and gases out of the intake and the ve and rr valve covers have it built inside thats what I plan on doing soon actualy.
