Hybrid VVL oil pump help

I have a vvl oil pump that the case is cracked and damaged, my question is can i use a RR oil pump case and use the oil rings from the vvl pump ?

What would this do? Work? Increased pressure? Decrease pressure? The pressure will be better than standard DE pump? And had anyone tried this?

Well start off my seeing if it fits into the de housing. if so then double check FSM specs. Might work post a msg if it does. It would increase pressure some, not sure about volume

The VE gears are thicker than the RR gears iirc
