help please! Tps issues
So I have been having this issue for months. My setup is.
sr16 pistons
n1 cams
b-series tri-y
excessive plenum
q45 tps
90mm Ebay throttle body
My issue is surging. Ive set the tps multiple times. engine running and not running no change, replaced the tps countless times to no avail. apon suggestion of a bunch of folks I even replaced the signal wire from the tps. With a new shielded wire all the way back to the ecu. and the issue still persists. Everything checks out voltage wise. the only thing ive noticed is when the engine is running I have to apply more throttle to achieve the same amount of voltage as when compared to the engine off. with new/different tps's and new signal wire it makes no sense.
please any help is appreciated

I have a calum basic also. is it possible the board itself is bad? this all started once I installed the plenum setup. if the tps is unplugged the surging stops.

Possible vacuum leak? Try to pressure test the system or do the oldsskool trick and flow unlit propane around the seems and if/when the rpms jump you found your leak. Also what brand 90mm TB? The eBay units tend to leak so check that while your at it.

Not a vacuum leak cause it's fine when the tps is unplugged.

I had an surging issue and I thought it was the tps but it ended up being the plugs I had in the engine

I adjusted the base tps adjustment to 1.0 volt and it seems to be ok now. I guess I'll see how the next couple days go. It's difinitely something electrical though. Cause unplugging the tps made it normal. And it has new plugs also.
