Re use sr20vet gasket?
Hey guys,

Recently picked up a slight rod knock and have to open the motor up. I'm running a 88mm vet nissan head gasket. It's a week end at and only has about 2k miles max on the motor. Can the headgasket be used again or do I need to replace? I probably have to buy a new ve oil pump from the states anyways, but if it's not necessary for the gasket I don't want to waste money either.

if this motor has a substantial amount of $$ into it, it would be dumb not to at least get the cheap $75.00 one for peace of mind

Well it's 75 plus 88mm bore charge plus shipping plus import duties and tax plus added downtime since I'm not in the states. I'll take a look when it's open and decide from there.

If it looks in good shape I would reuse it, lol. Crank those headstuds down to 85ft/lb.
