You need to take the front cover off to get it on and off. In the car prob a huge pain in the ass but it can be done. There are 2 bolts in the oil pan too if I remember right.

If you ever replaced the water pump while it's still inside the car, this would be 3X as fun.

I don't think it would be any worse than a DE. Warranty time on a DE is like 5 hours. Why do you need to replace the chain? Did the chain fail or a guide?

I can pull an sr20 in less then 2hrs, pull the motor it is much easier. Plus you have less chance of messing up and having a front cover oil leak.

i just pulled my front cover/oil pump a few weeks ago in the car. In order to do this you need to drop both oil pans, all accesories. So with all said and done, the only motor mount not detached to do this is the transmission mount. At that point the motor is basicly out. If i was to do it again, I would pull the motor.

Loud ass knocking so I'm thinking it my chain tensinor n just want check if timing on correct and not jumped. Well now I'm thinking it the rod bearing going punk the motor soon.

Also if I use a DE crank in a VE bottom end what kind of bearings do I get. Reg. DE or can I use the 5holes ve bearings
