crankcase baffle, plastic part?
hey guys i'm stripping down a 20ve block for my rebuild and i have came across this which i've never seen before, the internal crankcase baffle has a plastic part on it, is this plastic part on the baffle normal? as i've never seen it before lol

Pretty sure all VE's have them. Mine did.

yeah all SR's will have the baffle, but this is the first time i have came across the plastic piece on top of the baffle?

Mine was coated in some sort of plastic, it appears yours has all fallen off.

heh then the ones i've seen before with no plastic must have had it fallen completely off, decimated and flushed out with oil changes lol. looks like an order to greg is in my future

I've never seen that part before. Got any shots showign where it is located in the motor?

yeah, it sits directly underneath the crank case ventilation outlet pipe, most likely to stop the crank throwing oil directly up the pipe

here Is where it goes
